Yoga for children. Yogi Buds classes guide children through the different yoga principles in a fun, creative way. Children learn valuable life lessons about how to love and respect themselves, others and the environment.
The Yogi Buds curriculum not only encompasses Yoga for children, but also explores the imagination through art, music and storytelling.
The first seven years of a child’s life are a time of innate curiosity and are the most developmentally crucial. Most children today are faced with tremendous overstimulation, competition and ‘screen time’. Starting yoga at a young age has immense benefits and will help children to cope effectively with the stress of modern living.
Yoga provides a calm, gentle space and time where children can self- regulate, express their true selves and grow in the mind, body and self.
- Yoga is a de-stressing activity for children.
- The creative movements and breathing exercises improve/develop:
– Focus and Concentration
– Posture and Alignment
– Balance and Co ordination
– Muscle Tone and Flexibility
– Body and Spatial Awareness
– Confidence and Self Awareness
– Promotes restful sleep
